Tedious Honeymoon planning..

Planning of our itineary for the Europe honeymoon trip is such a chore.

Here's my travel line.

London --> Paris --> Milan --> Venice --> Florence --> Pisa --> Rome

After researching, i reckoned i would love Italy very much. Perhaps bcos im a italian foodie.
I love pasta, pizza, gelato..

I don't know if there are ppl who felt the same way as i do at certain period in life.

I just felt lifeless and tired.

Wedding Preparation . .

. . made a big hole in our wallets.

Towards the midst of preparation, i was actually suggesting that maybe we can just do with a simple ROM solemnisation instead. But there will be hefty cancellation charges at the hotel side, so it's not gonna happen.

We have booked our bridal studio with Bridal De Couture at Tanjong Pagar). I feel that it's rather decent and reasonable priced. I paid $3088 for it.

What's included?
For the bride:
5 outfits for photoshoot
3 outfits for actual day
1 ROM outfit 30 pics for 18R/15R album
1 small album 22 pics
Actual day rental for mums, dads, siblings
1 trial make up
So far that's what i can remember.

I've been to the fittings and their service staff are really nice, especially my service coordinator, Yen Yen.

I love one of the wedding band's design at Lee Wah so we settled our wedding bands at Lee Wah.

We will be engaging Blue Button Films(sister company of The Wedding Paparrazi) for our actual day VG (promo price 8hrs at $150/hr) and Sundayz photography($988 w/o album cos we didn't wanted it).

Year 2012..

A brand new year and a year full of new challenges ahead..

This year will be a tough year for my pockets as i'll be preparing myself for my wedding bells at the lower half of this year.

My ROM however, will not be on the same day as my wedding dinner banquet.

My future mum-in law checked the 'Tong Shu' (i supposed this is what it is called) and told us that it was a bad day to get knotted on our confirmed wedding day.

We did not check on the auspicious dates before we confirmed our wedding dinner at Swissotel Merchant Court.

Actually, I believe that if one feel joyful on that day, it shall be your good day.

But as to satisfy my future mum-in law, we went to a fortune teller to pick a few good dates and decide to hold my ROM on one of dates most probably in Sept.

It will just be a simple ROM with my immediate family members.

My wedding dinner in Nov will go on as usual.

In fact, i'm not really looking forward in spending a hefty sum of money for my wedding.

But the issue is that i cannot do without one.. my parents would most likely hope that my relatives can share the joy with us.

And yippeee.. we bought a new Serta mattress.. the name of the mattress is called 'Sophistication' and it feels so comfy when we tried it at their sleep centre.

We were actually contemplating between Serta or Tempur.

Tempur cloud is also another amazing mattress.
It's super comfortable and does feels like laying on a cloud.

But i'm pretty sure that i'm so gonna get its pillow one of these days.

Equinox Restaurant

My family celebrated my mum's bday at Equinox yesterday night.
My dad had a Raffles Feed Gourmet card and it came with a couple of discount vouchers.
One of them was a 50% off total bill at Swissotel restaurants, thus we decided to try out Equinox. Not forgetting free bottle of wine too.

The ambience was nice, quiet and relaxing. Thus, all that was heard clearly was Iori's voice throughout the dinner.

Their lobster bisque is a flop. Totally horrible. It was disappointing to acknowledge that this is the kind of low standard lobster bisque they served in such a posh restaurant.
Or alternatively we just don't know how to appreciate it.

The oysters was however quite yummy and special.

Their choices of mains were little. I had a smoked beef tenderloin. It was nice but the portions are pretty small.

Iori had a kids meal of fried chicken breast and potato wedges.

In all we had 6 mains, 5 appetizers.

The bill after 50% came up to be $350. (from a whoopping $600+)
Phew!

I feel that patronising Equinox once in your lifetime is enough.

The food is nothing fascinating.

However, the ambience is cozy.

I'm hooked on drama series 步步惊心 !!!

Synopsis:
A modern day woman woke up from a car accident to find herself in the body of a Manchu girl living in the 18th century Qing Dynasty. In her new life, she became deeply entangled in Aisin Gioro princes' battle for the throne.

This is a very highly recommended drama. Very emotional and interesting..
I'm hooked on the storyline that i'm reading stuff on Kangxi and Yong Zheng reign from wikipedia.
I even wish to go to Forbidden City to look at the place.

Hello..

Browsing at the archives of my past entries..back then it was fun, less stress, less troubles..

and there was more time for me to blog.

I want to start blogging all over again, perhaps its a good way to vent my emotions.

For the past 6 months, i've been busy coping with my new job scope.

Many other things have happened too.

Ryan's dad have passed on earlier last month.

He has been slowing recovering.

Our next huddle would be our wedding.

It was supposed to be next year nov.

But now there are many traditional customs that we need to follow so we are still unconfirmed

about what's in for us.

Finally, i can take a break from this coming holiday in Dec to Korea.

I'll be going with my mum, my relatives and his mum, his brother and him.

Japan Earthquake

I was anticipating my Japan trip this month on the 24th. But due to the earthquake and tsunami on last fri. We will most probably have to cancel the trip.
I was being told that we can still go, but just have to avoid the north part of Japan (Sendai),
as our itineriary is mostly in Toyko and Osaka. But i heard the transportation was stopped and disneyland was flooded. And there are so much damages and deaths.
How can i enjoy my trip when i know ppl are sufferring?
I will have to contact ANA and the hotels.
Hopefully they can refund us the full sum.

DBSV Recognition dinner 2011

It was a fun night yesterday. The dinner was held at Ritz Carlton. Ambience was great as well as the food. My colleagues specially booked appointments to do their hair and make up.
I diy my hair and make up, saved the money in my wallet.
The dinner was better than this year, believed we made more profit than last year, considering
the dinner last year was only at Fort Canning Legends.

It was also the last D&D i will be having with my current dept colleague as i will be transferring out this coming Apr.

I can't believe i won an Ang Bao draw.
There were around 200 Ang Bao draws at the dinner, ranging from cash $50 to $2,000.
I always do not have the luck in lucky draws and I did not win anything last year. Not even $50.
But this year i won the 3rd prize, $1000. :X

My pre-27th birthday..

The day before my bday, i went to USS.
I loved it so much..Sweet memories of USS...i wanna go again.. I was on the verge of buying the annual pass.
But thinking of that, i supposed if i wanna get it, i would have to buy another one for him if not i will be the only going :(
